You asked. Binks’ favorite natural deodorants.

Some of you asked for advice on natural deodorants. I’ve been using them for about three years and find that rotating brands is helping to keep them working effectively. The ones I’ve profiles are from my collection. I find that swapping out brands every few weeks increases the effectiveness. UPDATE: I’ve had a few questions about salt based deodorants. I’ve tried several and have not found them to be effective. I like the idea of them, and they may work for some but I have not found a product that works for me.
First things first…it’s important to start with a good pit detox. This will help the product’s effective as and will alleviate any pit rash that some people experience when using natural deodorants. *affiliate links
Armpit Detox Recipe
Mix together into a paste
1 tablespoon bentonite clay
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon water
1 drop tea tree oil (optional)
Apply to dry armpits for 3-5 minutes. Rinse. Repeat every few weeks. More often if you work out a lot or live in a hot climate.
Deodorants Left to Right
Schmidt’s-My favs are the rose vanilla, bergamot lime, and moonflower scents. For some reason, they work best for me. This is a great product that lasts all day. It feels a bit pasty going on but you get used to that. Doesn’t cause white streaks on clothes.
Love Beauty and Planet-This one feels like a regular deodorant, smoothly.
Humble-This stuff is awesome. I love the frankincense vanilla (sort of smells like a church) but if you aren’t into that, the lavender is nice too.
Native-A great product. I like to apply it before workouts especially hot yoga. It doesn’t sweat off and isn’t itchy during the workout. Native comes in many great scents. Lavendar rose is my favorite.
Finally, if you prefer a deodorant spray, the best is Weleda. Citrus and Rose are my favorites. Sage is good too.
