Homemade Gifts Lotion Bars. By Binks.

My son loves crafting. We’ve been finding a lot of projects to keep us busy during quarantine. One of our favorites is homemade lotion bars. I love these for my feet and as a mess free, packaging free alternative. You can use ingredients you trust and avoid unnecessary chemicals.

Lotion Bars a versatile craft. You can add different essential oils for smells. You can add dried flowers to create a beautiful bar. In addition, these lotion bars make great homemade gifts! Wrap them in something pretty and gift away.

The steps are easy. My tip for you is to use containers that are not glass as the lotion will stick to the glass and be hard to clean. I may have learned the hard way. Silicone trays are the best from my experience

Ingredients

2 ounces organic beeswax

Organic Beeswax

2 ounces shea butter

Organic Shea Butter

2 ounces organic coconut oil

Coconut Oil

Directions

All you need to do is melt the 3 ingredients together in the microwave. Do not use the stove. It doesn’t work as well and pour into molds.

Let the lotion set before removing. When the lotion bars are fully set you can pop them out of the mold. Finally you can wrap in parchment paper or wax paper and tie with a bow. Whether you are making them for yourself or for someone else, these versatile and beautiful lotion bars will please.
