Dry Rubbed Ribs By Binks

Flash back to 2013 family rib contest

Soooo…I made these ribs and they turned out so well that I want to share the recipe. So easy but they do roast for 8 hours so you need to start them in the morning.

Spice Rub

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1 tablespoon kosher salt

2 teaspoons cracked black pepper

1 tablespoon smoked paprika

2 teaspoons garlic powder

2 teaspoons onion powder

1 teaspoon ground mustard

1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon celery salt

1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (or more if you want them spicier)

Directions

Mix up the spice blend in a medium-size bowl. Sprinkle over ribs generously on both sides and pat in to stick. I like to use food prep gloves as it’s unpleasant to touch raw ribs. Slap them on a large baking sheet and bake in the oven at 225 for 8 hours.

For crispier ribs, after 6 hours, take ribs out of oven and place them on a rack such as this cooling rack over a baking sheet. I use a new baking sheet but you can drain some of the fat that has rendered off the meat and use the same cookie sheet.
